Wonderful staff - everyone. So relaxed and pleasant to interact with at every level, from the breakfast chef and staff to the restaurant staff. This was a very memorable stay. I travel globally about 125,000 to 150,000 miles a year, so I can make adequate comparisons. There are many nice hotels but what is it about your staff that makes them all so wonderful? Maybe it's just Italiano people - but please, tell them all how much I enjoyed their service and enthusiasm about providing it.

Le restaurant est excellent, la nourriture est de très bonne qualité, le service est attentif et bienveillant, bravo au maître d’hôtel.
J’ai adoré la déco de l’hôtel, ça change des hôtels avec la déco standardisée et aseptisée.
L’accueil est efficace, un peu plus de chaleur aurait rajouté plus de charme.
Le petit déjeuner est très varié et goûtu. Le chef est très attentif à la satisfaction des clients, bravo à lui.

Attention needed for shower doors, did not fully close resulting in flooding of bathroom floor after each shower.

The layout of the room was great and comfortable but the cupboards and wardrobes were starting to look very tired and tatty. The bathroom could do with being redone as the tiles and grout were looking very worn.

I was a little concerned that one of my earrings went missing. It was in a package that was closed and the earring was clipped to the package. When I went to wear the earrings to a gala on Friday night, I noted that one earrings had gone missing. I was concerned that maybe someone who serviced the room could taken it as it is odd that the one earring would unclip from the package and fall out of the sealed bag. I am hoping staff can be trusted

Ottimo Staff

We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back again! I had been really looking forward to staying at this hotel, and overall it definitely lived up to our expectations.

On arrival, I did notice that the room seemed to need a little maintenance, particularly the shower, which slightly affected my first impression. I also had the feeling that some members of staff were looking at and talking about my sister in Italian. I could be completely mistaken, but it did make us feel a little uncomfortable. Having worked in hospitality myself, I completely understand that staff chat about guests from time to time, but ideally it's best done when guests aren't around. 😊

That said, the rest of our stay completely turned things around. Every member of staff we interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food and bar were excellent, the hotel had a lovely cosy atmosphere, and although it was busy, it never felt overwhelming. Our room was spotless and very well maintained. The only other small thing I noticed was that the room door wasn't the most soundproof, so you could hear people in the corridor a little more than in some other hotels. It didn't really affect our stay, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

The spa was a fantastic addition, beautifully clean, peaceful, with lovely views and a really relaxing atmosphere.

I also think the location is one of the hotel's biggest strengths. While it's not right in the city centre, we actually preferred that. The surrounding neighbourhood was full of fantastic local restaurants, markets, and cafés, making it feel much more authentic than staying in the busiest tourist areas. Taking the old-fashioned tram into the centre each day became one of our favourite parts of the trip.

One moment that really stood out was when a member of staff kindly checked her own handbag to see if she had a tampon for me after we discovered the nearby pharmacy was closed on a Sunday. She didn't have one in the end, but the fact that she took the time to check was incredibly thoughtful and genuinely appreciated. I was able to buy some from the nearby supermarket, but her kindness really stayed with me. I can't remember her name but she checked us out if I'm not mistaken

Although I don't usually choose older hotels, this stay completely won me over. The warmth of the staff, the atmosphere, the facilities, and the neighbourhood made for a wonderful experience. We'd happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Milan.

One of the reasons we choose this hotel
was the statement about catering for allergies and for vegetarians. Our experience of eating in Sophia’s restaurant was disappointing. Only 1 vegetarian main option, that was a soup. This was disappointing also my daughter had a food intolerance to onion. This is not usually an issue in restaurants as most chefs can adapt a range of dishes. However the only option here was a risotto made with water- again very disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber.
Generally all the staff were excellent, helpful and informative. However the reception staff member I asked for information about public transport was not aware that the airport express train did stop at the local station. If I had not checked at the station we would have made an unnecessary journey across the city, wasting time and money.

All staff amazing. Lovely hotel. Fantastic breakfast. Bottom of the wardrobe cracked in the hotel-not great for an executive room. Also, a kettle in the room with tea would be fantastic.

We appreciated very much that you made plug adapters/converters available to your guests. We also appreciated that you provided us with an iron and ironing board and a clothing steamer. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay although the breakfast room was a bit understaffed at times. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant.

The Japanese Spa is the best hotel amenity I've ever used. I enjoyed the jacuzzi, steam shower, and emotion shower. I called the front desk and they said no one was up there so I could go right away.

This was the loveliest hotel stay. The beautiful art deco decor, wonderful service, food, and accommodation. Were were there for 5 nights and it was so lovely. I would definately come back again if I come back to Milan in the future.

Breakfast was amazing and the staff were outstanding. Always acknowledging you and nothing was too much hassle. Had a wonderful time and made my children feel relaxed too.

All the staff were lovely , friendly polite and professional . The down stairs spaces are lovely open modern airy fresh but this wasn’t translated into the room very disappointed . Wellness space good would have liked a sauna maybe put outside instead of the 2 loungers ?

Beds are way, way, way to hard and the pillows are pretty awful. Either too hard or super lumpy. Room got stifling hot the first night. I found out that we could request the heat to be turned off for the rest of the stay, but we suffered the first night.

No puedo dejar de felicitar a todo el personal por su excelente atención (servicio de limpieza, recepción, desayuno), porque es, sencillamente, impecable. Todos, sin excepción, han sido amables, eficientes y resolutivos. Ante cualquier duda o petición, en todo momento han estado prestos a ayudar o a resolver la cuestión de una forma cortés y con una sonrisa por bandera.
Mención especial a Leisy, del personal del servicio de desayuno, por su cariño, cercanía y afabilidad, aunque sin hacer de menos al resto de sus compañeros, ni mucho menos. Es solo que, al hablar español, la comunicación con un español que no habla inglés es mucho más fácil, obviamente.

We especially loved the warm welcome at the reception, and so did our kids — the candy jars were a big hit! 😊 On the evening of our arrival, we were late and hadn’t had dinner yet, but your receptionist arranged everything so we could enjoy a late supper at Sophia’s. That was truly heartwarming.

The room was warm and the air conditioning wouldn’t really work or perhaps could not work at the temperature we needed. We had to open the window to get cooler air in the room

The amenities are not refilled every day. There's a lot of dust in the rooms, and the cleaning doesn't cover everything. Laundry is extremely expensive, much more than the general price in Italy. The minibar does not keep stuff cool enough.

Un ringraziamento particolare a tutto il personale di servizio del ristorante e della sala colazione per la gentilezza e la cura prestate. Recentemente ho anche soggiornato presso il vostro Hotel per lavoro: è ormai il mio punto di riferimento per le trasferte a Milano: qualitá della colazione e del ristorante, disponibilitá del personale e bontá della struttura soddifano pienamente le mie aspettative.

We arrived late, ant the restaurant still had opportunity to serve us dinner, but the receptionist was more reluctant so we went straight to the restaurant to Get a table. Also, they wanted to add tip to the restaurant when we checked out. The restaurant itself tas fine, but the serving Took a long time to Get, even though most tales har already har their food.

I would like to thank the ladies from the cleaning service and the breakfast staff.

Jessica (!!) - immer gut drauf und extrem aufmerksam beim Frühstück und 1x Mittagessen im Restaurant Sophia. Sehr professionell und engagiert (legt selber Hand an bei der optimalen Präsentation des Buffets, hat alles im Griff, bietet proaktiv Alternativen an, Specials für Kinder). Habe selten ein derartiges Management auf diesem Niveau gesehen und ich reise 3-5x pro Jahr. Top!

Our most gratitude to Leon, the chef, who has been an excellent person to wake up and speak to. He was so caring with his service, not to mention giving us such beautiful places to visit. It was genuinely a real pleasure to speak to him each day we had breakfast. Not to mention, his breakfast was impeccable, such taste in such simple delicacies, with his comedic humour on the side. Honestly what a lovely character.

This goes without saying, every single member of staff was exceptional in their hospitality. We were in awe at how wonderful and helpful they were. We were extremely pleased with each staff during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay, so peaceful and relaxing after full-on days exploring Milan. I did not catch his name, but the member of staff at the check-in desk was so lovely and helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel and room was excellent. The lobby smells amazing and is such an inviting welcome when you arrive. I would recommend others to stay at the hotel, and it would be top of my list if I were to visit Milan again. Grazie!

L’accoglienza al momento del check-in è stata ottima: la stanza inizialmente assegnata non era di nostro gradimento ed è stato fatto immediatamente un upgrade molto apprezzato. Il servizio e la qualità del cibo alla colazione sono stati molto apprezzati.

Frequento questo Hotel da tempo, anche se negli ultimi anni purtroppo, un po' meno, ma debbo dire che è sempre un piacere tornare, godendo anche dell'attenzione del vs personale che si spende sempre per darmi le soluzioni migliori (soprattutto il vs Aldo)
